Santa Clause Arrival

Welcome Santa as he makes his grand entrance into the Village on Saturday, December 5th at 11:30am at Academy Park by Helicopter (weather permitting) provided by Rainbow Air, Inc. Santa and Buddy the Elf will be escorted by carriage and a beautiful Holiday Float by J.J. Strassburg Trucking and Deal Realty, where all the boys and girls will follow him for the special Santa Promenade down Center Street! 


Meet Santa

Santa will greet children in the Lewiston Peace Garden near the Historic Frontier House in his special Holiday float following the Santa Promenade down Center St.  Meet Santa and Buddy the Elf both Saturday, December 5th from noon - 4pm and Sunday December 6th from 1-3pm of the Christmas Walk!   Santa and Buddy the Elf is Sponsored by Deal Realty and the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce. 

Character Meet and Greets

Enjoy familiar Christmas favorites Frosty, The Grinch. and Rudolph as they promenade up and down Center Street on Saturday and Sunday from 11am  - 3pm, sponsored by the Lewiston Kiwanis Club.  Meet Anna and Olaf at the Frozen Tent on Saturday and Sunday from 1-3 outside at the Grandpaw's Courtyard (402 Center St).


Center Street will be alive with music and carolers on Saturday and Sunday both outside and inside various businesses. All shops will be open as well during the Christmas Walk and many will offer special treats, promotions and great shopping sales!

Complimentary Carriage Rides sponsored by Super Market Liquors & Wines, on Saturday from 11:30am - 4pm and Sunday from noon - 3pm.  Drop off and Pick up in front of First Niagara Bank, 500 Center Street.



Petting Zoo

Be sure to visit the Petting Zoo with Shenandoah Acres, sponsored by Tedesco Construction Services, Inc. at Hennepin Park on Saturday, December 5th and Sunday, December 6th from Noon - 3pm.



Send your Letter to Santa

Get your letters written and delivered to Santa, right here in Lewiston!  The red regulation sized mailbox on Center St will deliver your letter directly to the North Pole!  The mail box can be found between Angel to Apple (467 Center St) and The Spicey Pickle 463 Center St.). Any letters addressed to Santa that are placed in the box by December 19th will receive a response before Christmas!  This is not a U.S. Postal Service mail box.  Letters will go to the North Pole only!



Niagara River Region Gift Certificates

Looking for the perfect gift to give this holiday season?  Give the gift of "local" this year with a Niagara River Region Gift Certificate.  Purchase a gift certificate in any amount and redeem it at over forty businesses! Find the Perfect Christmas Tree

The Boy Scout Troop 855 will once again host their Christmas Tree Sale in Academy Park on Tuesday, December 1st. Their sale Schedule is Monday - Thursday, 4pm -8pm, Fridays 4pm - 9pm, Saturdays 9am - 9pm, Sundays 9am - 8pm.


Weekend Activities


Angel to Apple - 467 Center Street.  Christmas Saturday Dec 5th Join us for Christmas Karaoke from 11am - 3pm.  Sing for "Angel bucks" to be used in the store.  There will be discounts, contest, and a raffle entry with purchase to win a $50.00 gift certificate.   Sunday December 6th, store wide discounts, contest, and a raffle entry with purchase to win a $50.00 gift certificate.


Apple Granny Restaurant - 433 Center Street. Join us as we host the "Elf on the Shelf" character with hot chocolate and storytelling of the Elf on the Shelf Book!  Parents can enter their children to win on Saturday an "Olaf on the Shelf" book gift pack with Olaf doing the drawing at 3:30pm. Sunday, parents can enter their children to win an "Elf on the Shelf" book gift pack. 


The Brickyard - 432 Center Street (in the back room, Noon - 4 pm).  Come and decorate your very own Graham Cracker House.  This event is presented by Niagara Area Habitat for Humanity.  The cost is $5.00 per child and the activity takes approximately 15 to 30 minutes.  Help is also provided by members of the Lew-Port Builders Club.  Graham Crackers Houses built by 4th and 5th grade multi-age class.  Look for Gingerbread Boy!!


Canterbury Place - 547 Center Street, Saturday December 5h, 11a.m. to 3p.m. Join us for "Jam Tours", with jam from tasting Stonewall Kitchens of Maine. Sunday, December 6th, we will have tasting of Stonewall Kitchen Jam.


Coldwell Banker Integrity Real Estate - 625 Center Street, 10am - 5pm. Join us get warm with some hot chocolate and holiday cookies. We will be collecting presents and food items for Community Missions and Heart and Soul Food Kitchen. Anyone bringing in a donation will be entered into a drawing for gift certificates supplied by local businesses. We will have boutique type shopping available through some local vendors and will provide live violinists throughout the festival.


Dash of Divinity - Find our booth at the Lewiston #1 Fire Hall gift market. Our booth will have gift boxes, candles, lotions, chocolate truffles and more great gift ideas both Saturday and Sunday!


Deal Realty - presents Santa and Buddy the Elf in his beautiful holiday float Saturday, December 5th from noon-4pm and Sunday, December 6th from 1-3pm near the historic Frontier House.  Stop by the Deal Realty booth to pick up Santa's Magic Dust, complimentary giveaways and enter to win Santa's Crazy Hat contest.  Don't forget your camera for photo opportunities with Santa and Buddy too!

Lewiston Museum - 469 Plain Street, 10 am - 5 pm. The Lewiston Museum will feature modern and vintage Christmas decorations and exhibits relating to the history of Lewiston. The Lewiston Stone House - 755 Center Street., 12 noon - 5pm. Complimentary holiday cookies and hot chocolate for children will be served all weekend. Warm yourself up with Holiday drink specials, hot boozy coffee and mulled holiday wine. $25 for $20 Gift certificates will be available for purchase the month of December. Don't forget to pick up your Chiavetta's Chicken BBQ to benefit the Greater Niagara Ballet Company on Saturday between from 12 noon - 3pm. Presale tickets will be available at the Lewiston Stone House for $9.00 or by calling 713-9735 and will be $10.00 at the door.


Realty USA - 505 Center Street, 12 noon - 4pm, Saturday December 5th & Sunday, December 6th, create festive pictures with elves, enter a coloring contest and enjoy light refreshments and music. Sal Anello will also be doing caricatures.


St. Paul's Episcopal Church - Corners of N. 4th & Ridge Street. From 10 am - 5 pm. St. Paul's will be hosting a Basket Auction and vendor fair. Over 30 crafters and vendors will be selling everything from home d├ęcor, fashion & beauty, to unique foods, stocking stuffers, candles and more! Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and various desserts and pastries will be sold as well. The building is handicap accessible and restrooms are available for the Christmas Walk. St. Paul's is proud to be a "Bonus Location" for the Tour of Homes.


Tuscana Spa - 705 Center Street. Stop in for our Open House with refreshments, music and elves handing out candy canes and $10 off coupons! We will be offering 20% off services with additional specials: Couples massages are $150 instead of $200 or purchase $100 gift certificates for $75.

Deal Realty - Stop by the Deal Realty office at 451 Center Street Saturday, December 5th at 3pm to see Santa judge the Crazy Hat Contest.  Also enjoy complimentary refreshments and giveaways throughout the Christmas Walk at the Deal Realty office! 

The Greater Niagara Ballet Company
- The Greater Niagara Ballet Company will host a Chiavetta's Chicken BBQ fundraiser on Saturday December 5th from 12 noon to 3pm at The Lewiston Stone House, 755 Center St.  Pre-Sale tickets are $9.00 and can be purchased at The Lewiston Stone House or by calling 713-9735.  Tickets at the door are $10.00.


Great Lakes Real Estate - From 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m at Academy Park, Great Lakes Real Estate will be handing out Rudolph Antler Hats, Noses and information on a Scavenger Hunt!  At the Great Lakes Office (916 Center Street) join the staff with free Children's Holiday Crafts including cookie decorating, holiday ornament making, holiday finger paint art and create your own magic reindeer food (ensures the reindeer don't miss your home!). Stop by and see the balloon artist from 2pm - 5pm.


Lewiston Choraleers - The Lewiston Choraleers will present its annual Christmas music program Saturday, December 5, at 1 p.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY. The family-friendly program will feature a mix of traditional and contemporary holiday music. The performance is open to the public with a general admission fee of $5 (children 12 and under admitted free). The 50-member community chorus will be directed by Donald D. Shrimpton with accompaniment by pianist Lynda Williams and percussionist Pat Kuciewski. More information is available at www.lewistonchoraleers.com.


St. Peter Roman Catholic Church and School - 140 North 6th Street, 5pm - 7pm. St Peter's in partnership with Macri's Restaurant will host a "Supper with Santa" event in the school cafeteria. Tickets are $10.00 per person, children under 3 are Free. In addition to a full dinner with pasta, chicken, meatballs and salad, the event will have a bake sale, Christmas music and choral singing, a photo booth with elves and Santa and gifts for each child in attendance. A 50/50 drawing and a Christmas raffle will add to the festivities. Beginning at 11:00 am a bake sale and hot chocolate event will be held under a Christmas Tent outside the main entrance of the school.


Theatre in the Mist - Listen to the joyous sounds of Theatre in the Mist caroling in the Village!


Sunday Only, December 5, 2015

Barton Hill Hotel & Spa - The Barton Hill will offer Brunch from 10:30am - 1:00pm on Sunday, December 6th including fresh cut fruit and whole fruit, muffins, bagels, toast, scrambled eggs, eggs benedict, sausage, bacon, carved ham with pineapple, French toast, waffles, coffee and tea. $18.50 plus tax per person.  Bloody Mary's and Mimosa's are also available.

Messiah Lutheran Church - 915 Oneida Street will host a worship service featuring a Chrismon Program at 10 am.



Ongoing Activities through December

Harmonia - Harmonia at Music Niagara, 7:30pm December 12th.Harmonia makes its Canadian debut at St. Mark's Anglican Church in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Part of the Music Niagara concert series. This is Christmastime, December 19th from 7 - 8:30pm at St. Peters Church in Lewiston. Renaissance motets to beloved carols  Join us as we celebrate the magic of the Christmas season. Free will offering, $10 suggested donation.


Lewiston Family Ice Rink - The Rink opens on Saturday, December 4th!  Be sure to go to www.Lewportsports.com for updates on rink times, programs and special events. Kids New Years Party! Wednesday Dec 31st from 6pm - 8pm. Skating is not required, space is limited to capacity of tent.  Kids will be treated to free noisemakers, party hats, and other fun stuff to help bring in the New Year.  From 6PM to 8PM, there will be face painters, balloon twisters, and other fun stuff for the kids to do, along with Ice Skating.  The countdown to 8PM will end with a massive balloon and confetti drop along with a sparkling juice toast.


Old Fort Niagara, Youngstown - December 5th & 12th, from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm, "The Castle by Candlelight."  Tour the French Castle lit entirely by candles. Meet historical characters, hear 18th Century music & take part in hands-on activities. Witness the preparation of an 18th Century holiday feast and see the grand "feu de joie" a firing of joy by muskets and cannons. Admission is $10 per person. Tickets available at the door. Our Lady of Fatima Shrine Festival of Lights - 1023 Swann Road, Lewiston. Our Lady of Fatima Shrine will host its annual Festival of Lights from November 21, 2015 through January 6, 2016. Every year the Shrine's 15 acres are colorfully illuminated by over 50 beautiful displays, including the nine-foot angel that hovers over the giant Nativity Scene. This year the new feature's theme is "The Christ Child that leads us to God's Mercy", in keeping with the Catholic Church's desire to dedicate 2016 to the theme of God's mercy. Almost all of the displays were designed by Niagara Falls native Fr. Julio Ciavaglia, Director of the Shrine and were constructed at the studios at Fatima Shrine. Lights are on daily from 5pm to 9pm. The Shrine's gift and book store, including many Christmas items is open until 9pm. The cafeteria will also have extended hours. NYPA Power Vista -5777 Lewiston Road, Lewiston. Festival of Trees. December 1st -January 1, 9am - 5pm (minus holidays).  Power Vista Local non-profit agencies decorate trees with energy efficient lighting display.  Free parking & free admission. 286-6661.



Sanborn Area Business & Professional Association & Sanborn Historical Society- "Christmas at the Farm", 2660 Saunders Settlement Road (Rt. 31) Sanborn.  December 12 & 13 from 11-4pm both days.  Free Admission - Public Invited There will be a Crafts & Frosting of Cookies for the kids, Wagon Rides and a chance for the kids (ages 2-8) to receive a present and have their picture taken with Santa - So come and bring the kids!



Village of Youngstown Christmas Celebration - Saturday, December 12th Enjoy events at the Village Center (Red Brick Schoolhouse) and throughout the Village from 10am - 4pm.  Christmas Tree lighting at dusk.  Village retailers will be celebrating the holiday along with free Carriage rides, strolling costumed characters and live music throughout the day!
